The French/English website is specialized in luxury watch reviewing, hi-def pictures, brands and events news, and has also a huge classified ads database. After more than 2 years using a stiff back-office, founders Pierre and Thomas were ready for a new clock cycle!
The graphic redesign is subtle, yet everything is shiny under the hood. Previous data was imported in the new back-office, which is powered by the Kohana MVC framework. Best practices have been applied everywhere, to ensure data durability and extendability. New features were added for visitors, such as hi-def galleries, brands alerting, and contextualized navigation. The site is extremely SEO-oriented, and uses microformats.
313 tickets were opened (and fixed!) inside Italic’s bugtracker between July and October.
Transition of the .co.uk version of the site is expected late 2012.
